1940 & onwards major changes in Australian Banking called  for higher standards of management resulting in Banks setting up staff  training.

19650101 Current Accounts # 28 pages 2 & 3 has story on MANAGERS’ COURSE – RESIDENTIAL.
                CBC Circular 6072 announced formation of CBCofS 1st managers’ course.

1960 RHS Cavan took first steps to create such training.
        He  appointed George R  Perry sub-inspector in charge of training.

19650221 saw first residential Managers’ course at Wahroonga.

George R Perry, OIC of bank training designed the new course with help of Training Planning Committee reporting to Senior Chief Inspector Mr A E Bamford who had overall control of the College.

Branch Manager Charles W Nobbs became principal of Staff Training College.
