Bob Wilmot sent this photo of the old Bombala Branch. It is now a B&B apparently.  Bob's father (Monty) was Manager there from early 50's to 1954 and John Munro's Dad (Mun) was 2nd Officer with him - he was there for 10 years - in 40's/50's - the family lived just 3 doors down from the bank.

Three  Managers of CBC Bombala were from same line of descent.  Youngest was Yvonne Thorne of Dorrigo branch where her father was Manager.  Her father HV Thorne  died whilst he was Manager Milton. The three Thorne Managers that had been Managers at Bombala were TW Thorne Grandfather of HV Thorne, VT Thorne father of HV Thorne (passed away before 1962), HV Thorne son of VT Thorne. 2013 April Ian Gray advised: "
I was transferred to Bombala in 1967 as second officer and in 2O12 travelled through the old town again and took photos of the now NAB bank (previously CBC building) which is still the same inside and out with the exception of a fresh coat of paint and the B&B /Coffee shop on top and rear. I must say that the building is a standout in the town which now caters for thousands of bikers that travel these southern scenic roads through to Victoria."

Boorowa Boorowa is 54Km North of Yass on Lachlan Valley Way.
1861 Branch opened at Burrowa in the Lambing Flat Gold Diggings;
Boree Creek 1913 Boree Creek Branch closed
        (Current Accounts Jan 1976).
Representation mentioned in Current Accounts July 1959.

General: It is assumed that business was probably transferred to Lockhart. Boree Creek is 46Km from Lockhart (via Kywong).  The Rock to Boree Creek rail line which is 57Km long leaves the Sydney / Melbourne line at The Rock and links the communities of Lockhart and Boree Creek. Geoff Chapman.
Bill Frost said he prepared Boree Creek items for burn-off at CBCofS Narrandera so it seems Narrandera may have been where Boree Creek business was transferred to?.
